The Most Expensive Hotels In The World

Hotel Sleuth has compiled this eye-watering list of the most expensive hotel rooms in the world. Whilst most of us are counting the pennies these days, spare a thought for the billionaire holiday makers who have to make the agonising choice between a suite with a private helipad and one with an on demand pianist.

#1: Royal Villa at Grand Resort Lagonissi

Athens

How Much?

£30,000 per night.

What do you get?

A 12,000 square-ft villa boasting a private beach, pool, sauna, butler, chef, piano (yes, including pianist). I'm guessing for that price he'll play more than just chopsticks. Maybe the chef sings too.

#2: The Martinez Hotel Presidential Suite

Cannes

How Much?

£11,500 per night.

What do you get?

An Art Deco inspired 8,000 sq ft penthouse in the heart of the French Rivieria. Luxuries include a Turkish bath, private sauna, kitchan and a jacuzzi on the huge terrace. Book the suite and they throw in a limousine, on call butler and free bar.

#3: Royal Suite, Burj Al Arab

Dubai

How Much?

£15,000 per night.

What do you get?

If understated is not your bag, (baby) and you expect to see a little bling when you splash the cash then this is the suite for you. Treats include a private cinema, a Rolls-Royce to chauffer you around, submarine trips to an underwater restaurant, leopard print everywhere and more marble than you can shake a stick at. The land that taste forgot.

#4: Hugh Hefner Sky Villa, The Palms Casino

Las Vegas

How Much?

£28,000 per night.

What do you get?

If your lucky number comes in then here is where to celebrate in wonderfully tacky Las Vegas style. Designed by the original playboy himself this suite boasts the usual comforts like a gym, media room, spa and a rotating bed. But the killer feature of this lothario's lair is the pool which extends from the side of the building to offer an intoxicating view of the strip. Bunny girls not included.

#5: Bridge Suite, The Atlantis Resort

Bahamas

How Much?

£17,000 per night.

What do you get?

Its all about the space as you enjoy this 5,000 sq ft, 10 room suite which boasts 12 foot high ceilings as well as the usual: a chef and and a butler as well as marble baths and a private bar. The real joy of this des res though is its situation. It is perched on a bridge joining the two towers of this luxury resort - meaning that the huge windows offer panoromanic views and give you that wonderful feeeling of superiority. No wonder too, because if you can afford this place you're in good company: previous guests are reputed to include Oprah, Michael Jackson and Bill Gates. Kneel before Zod.
